Family vacations can be hard when you have teens that are currently going through their rebellious, anti-parents stage. Everyone but your teen is having a good time, which can be hard to deal with as a parent.

Another tip is to “be realistic about how long you’ll be gone” on the vacation. Take your teen’s personality into account–if he or she is very social, a two-week vacation can be a dreadful thing for them. You want to make sure that everyone is happy, and sometimes as a parent you have to give in a little.
