Word scrambles are a great way to help your child practice spelling and see patterns.

They’re also games that can be played by your kids when they’re alone, or they can work on it with a partner like a friend or sibling.

I found a site with 31 FREE printable word scramble worksheets…

These word scrambles have your kids take a word like “table” and make other words out of the letters in the word.

So from “TABLE” your kids could find: belt, tab, bet, able, let, be.

It’s great fun.

And you here’s a trick you can teach your kids to look for more words:

When you find a word, see if reading it backwards makes a new word: Example: TAB. If you read it backwards it spells BAT. So that’s another word to add to the list!
