Moms are learning how to find time for themselves.
If you’re short on time, you can still take great care of yourself.
Sure, there are lots of things you think you *should* be doing if you finally have some time to yourself…
But doing those things isn’t going to help rejuvenate you and keep you feeling your best.
Part your job as a mother is to make sure that you’re well taken care of…
Otherwise, how do you expect to be able to take care of everyone else?
You have to come first. (You do realize this, don’t you?)
But where should you start with self care and what things should you do?
Well, it depends…
Self care activities are easy to choose if you know what kind of metric you’re working with.
For instance…
In terms of time, do you have 15 min, 30 min, 1 hr, 3 hrs to yourself?
In terms of money to spend on yourself, do you have $5, $10, or $20?
And sometimes it helps to know what other moms think about in terms of giving themselves special things and extra special pampering…
So in this article from Parenting.com, you’ll also find ideas for what moms would do if they had $100 and a whole afternoon to themselves.
You’ll get lots of great ideas from them:
“I would get a haircut (haven’t had one in six months), have my car cleaned (can’t remember original color of floorboards), and buy a new outfit (one that is stain-resistant).” — Mary Anne Zang, Keller, TX
