But now Maurice Sendak’s beloved children’s story, Where The Wild Things Are, has been turned into a motion picture.

It opened last Friday and reviews from parents and kids are mixed. Some people say it’s boring. Others say it’s sad.

This movie was enjoyed by my family of four. We had NO expectations and did not read any reviews before seeing it. I have an 11 year old daughter and 8 years old son. My husband and I enjoyed it for its simplicity and for the non-animated characters! We also thought it was rated appropriately.
