Busy Parents Make Dinner With These 3 Easy Steps

by Hong Kong Tran

Feel like you're too busy to make a healthy meal for your family?

Yesterday we posted an article on how hamburger meat being used in fast food restaurant chains is being injected with ammonia (supposedly to kill E. coli).

That ammonia enters the body – and who know what kind of damage that could do…

A simple and quick solution to that was to stop eating fast food. You don’t need to depend on fast food in order to feed your family.

In fact, you shouldn’t.

Especially for a busy parent, the idea of cooking a complete, balanced meal can be discouraging. But you can totally do it, and in 3 steps!

Here’s how…

  1. You don’t have to cook from scratch. If you’re not used to cooking, pushing out entrees from scratch is a time-consuming and arduous task. You can buy a ready-to-eat chicken and just make the side dishes. Although you could even make healthier meals, this is a start.
  2. Processed foods are not evil. Make instant mashed potatoes if you don’t have the time to make them from scratch.
  3. You don’t have to buy organic. Start by buying low-fat foods and vegetables/fruits (even if they are frozen).

The important thing is to not give up if you can’t cook everything from scratch–to start somewhere, even if it’s far behind. You’ll get there!

How do you manage to feed your family healthier meals?
