What are your thoughts on the Balloon Boy story?
By now you’ve heard the news…
The “balloon boy” drama was all a set up.
It was a hoax – designed by the parents to get attention from the media in the hopes that it would give them a chance at a reality TV show. (They’d already been on Wife Swap twice.)
But now they’ve drawn all this national attention to their child being missing…
And it turns out that THEY were the ones made their child go missing (by telling him to go hide in the attic for several hours).
What impact will this have on your family in the event of a REAL emergency?
What if your child disappears (legitimately) and you have nothing to do with it?
Will you be believed?
Will your neighbors and the police think that you’re making it up?
When one family “cries wolf” it can affect the way people relate to other families in similar looking situations, but that are actually severe and serious.
