Trying to figure out how to organize the inside of your family's car?

For some reason cars don’t have enough storage space – especially when you’ve got kids.

Some have a pocket in the back of the driver’s and passenger’s seat, but that’s not enough.

Then there’s always the back trunk, but throwing everything in the back without organizing it isn’t practical.

Where do you put your kids’ coloring books? Color pencils? Markers? Crayons?

The solution is the do it yourself backseat car organizer.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Medium weight fabric
  • Coordinating thread
  • Sewing machine
  • Piece of 3/4″ elastic about 30 inches long
  • Driver’s and passenger’s seats with removable headrests
  • (Optional: Love of crafts and sewing.)

When you follow the 8-step instructions from The May Fly for putting this backseat car organizer together, you’ll have a very neatly organized back seat with enough room for you and your kids to store things in.

The stuff that used to get throw on the floor in the back seat can have a home now…and it doesn’t have to fall out of the car when you open the door anymore.

Visit http://themayfly.com for the specific instructions (and photos!) on how to make this fun and useful project for the entire family.
