Cereal can be a smart breakfast choice for your child as long as it's the right kind.

A study found that of the 10 LEAST healthy cereals, General Mills made six of the cereals on that list.

Maybe it’s because of all the sugar that General Mills cereals have. Sugar and preservatives.

But, here are some good news…kind of.

General Mills recently announced that it will REDUCE sugar content in some of its cereals to less than 11 grams per serving.

Wow, reducing sugar content.

It’s a start in the right direction…but we’ll be still be waiting for them to reduce all the preservatives too. As well as the “Natural and Artificial Flavor?”

If you’re worried about the unhealthy cereal that you’re letting your kids eat, try switching to another cereal from General Mills, or another brand entirely.

General Mills also makes “Cheerios,” a much better alternative to Lucky Charms or Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Cocoa Puffs.

What kinds of cereals are your kids eating for breakfast? Do you have any healthy cereal recommendations for other concerned parents?
