Taking care of a baby can sometimes make you forget to take care of yourself, since most of your energy is invested into making sure your baby is comfortable, healthy and well.
But in order to invest energy into taking care of your baby, you need to have energy to begin with. This comes from exercise and healthy eating. Here are just some of the foods you should be eating when you’re nursing.
- Milk – 8 ounces of skim or low-fat milk
- Bananas (one of my favorite foods!)
- Orange juice
- Salad (make sure to go light on the dressing)
- Sweet potatoes
- Salmon and fish
- Broccoli
- Whole-grain cereal
- Beans

How do you create variation in these foods? Have any good recipies that include any of the items listed above? Share them in the comments below! We’d love to hear and share them.
