Graco Stroller Recall

by Hong Kong Tran

Be extra careful in making sure that your stroller doesn't hurt you or your kids.

What are the purpose of the canopies on baby strollers? To shield your baby’s head from direct sunlight, to keep your baby cool, to make it easier for your baby to take naps. To lead to fingertip amputations.

Yep, that last one is true.

One and half million Graco strollers have been recalled after reports of 7 children being injured after putting their fingers in the hinge that allows the canopy to open and close. Five of the seven children had their fingertips amputated while the other two had lacerations (or jagged cuts).

If you own a Graco stroller, take caution! For a list of recalled Graco strollers, click here.

Contact Grago at (800) 345-4109 to receive your free protective hinge cover repair kit, which should arrive within two weeks of your order.

The cautionary note on these strollers should include: “Strollers may lead to fingertip amputations.” Don’t you think?
