It's important for parents to know the appropriate ways to safeguard their kids.
If you have little ones running around in your home, you can never be too careful when it comes to making your home a safer place for them to be.
There are many things you can do to prevent any accidents.
For example, store those sharp-edged aluminum foil and plastic wrap dispensers out of reach of children. Your child may not know those are, but they’ll be able to find a use for them. Shiny and soft things are child magnets.
Put away those fancy shmancy tableclothes, because your small ones can yank the ends of the cloth, pulling everything off the table and onto their heads.
If you live in a multiple-story house, install safety gates at the top and bottom of all the stairs. Tumbling and rolling around comes naturally to young children, but you don’t want them doing that down the stairs.
Make it a habit of putting down your toilet seat covers, and installing lid locks on them. Children under three can drink from the toilet…or fall in it.
Another tip is to set the hot water heater for below 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Now you probably don’t bathe your young children at such high temperatures, but just in case you accidently turn the water toward the H and not the C, your child won’t scald.

Thanks for the very informative article, I have a child and I also did few of your tips like putting safety gates. My child is also hyperactive and I can’t trust her enough not to put safety precautions, especially with protective plastic for electricity outlets, but now that she’s growing she is now interested with computers, it’s a challenge for me at first on how I can protect her from people who has bad intentions. YourKIdsClub, an educational games provider, made me feel comfortable and at ease to leave her infront of the computer because I know that she’s playing safe games.
