Here’s a new idea for you and your family.
Instead of individual New Year’s resolutions, where everyone in your family is “doing their own thing” and doesn’t necessarily have the support of everyone else in the family…
Why not make New Year’s resolutions as a family? Family Resolutions, they’re called.
Family Resolutions are made together as a family. A resolution that everyone agrees to do as a family. And the great thing is that they help you stay connected to each other as a family – even during tough times.
Here are some Family Resolutions to get you thinking…
- Spending more time together
- Getting active together
- Going greener this year
- Helping out others as a family
The best one has to be #2:
With obsity on the rise all over the country, [a] great family resolution to make together for 2010 is to get active together. Deciding to get active on your own can be touch, but if you make it a family resolution, you’ll find that it is easier for everyone when you’re all involved. This way you can all hold each other responsible.
As a family, everyone can motivate one another, making the “active” part a more enjoyable experience. And you have some great discussions with your family about which one(s) to pick for 2010.
So what do you think? Which family resolution sounds doable and most appealing? Did you and your family make your own family resolutions? Share them with other families below!
