Ask them if they know anything about MLK and listen to what they share with you…
If you want a short way to describe him to your young kids, try something like: “He was someone who wanted all people to be treated fairly and equally, no matter what color their skin was.”

Whether your older kids watch it with your not, consider watching it yourself. Not only is it amazing to see the crowds that gathered, but to hear his conviction and dedication to wanting a better world for his children is quite moving.
