Online Safety For Kids: Do You See The Google Balls?

Google is working to help parents safeguard their kids' internet usage.

Google is making it even easier to know if your kids are at risk of being exposed to inappropriate content while using their search engine…

How are they doing this?

By displaying big colorful balls in the upper right hand corner of the computer screen when your kids are at Google.com.

You can go into Settings and choose “lockdown safe search settings” so that your kids can’t turn it on or off without your permission.

If you want to change it, you’ll have to enter a password (that you don’t share with your kids.)

This is great news for parents because you’ll be able to tell just by looking at the screen (even from across the room) whether or not your child is Googling in safe mode or is potentially going to be exposed to adult content.
