Should You Let Your Kids Watch This Movie?

by Miss Mona

Trying to figure out which movies are appropriate for your children to be watching?

Moms and Dads are learning how to restrict their childrens' movie choices.

“Mom, I wanna see that movie!”

“Dad will you take us to see that movie this weekend?”

Kids see commercials and billboards for movies…

Their friends are bragging about which movies they saw…

And your kids are going to want to see them too.

But how do you know which movies are appropriate for your kids?

The MPAA ratings of G, PG, PG-13, and R are of some help, but you still don’t know exactly what your kids will be seeing in those movies.

You don’t necessarily have the time, money, or interest to go watch every movie your kids want to see so that you can preview it…

But fortunately you can rely on this site to help you find your way through the maze of movie ratings for kids.

On this site you’ll find that each movie is rated in 3 categories:

  1. Sex & Nudity
  2. Violence & Gore
  3. Profanity

Each category is given a score of 1-10. (Ten meaning that there’s a lot of that in the movie) and then there are detailed explanations for why each movie was given these 3 scores.

Sending your kids to the movies or to a friends’ house for movie night doesn’t have to make you anxious anymore. Visit this site and search for movies in the theater as well as movies that are on video and you’ll feel better knowing what your kids are watching.
