Your baby’s crying is one of those things you have to put up with as a parent…
But let’s face it, sometimes you can only take so much before you go ballistic.
Your baby’s not hungry, or sick…
She doesn’t need a nap, or to be burped or changed.
You’ve tried everything.
So now what?
MayoClinic.com gives 6 tips to help you stay calm through the tears (your baby’s tears and, well, perhaps yours, too.)
Here are a couple…
- Slow down
Take a break from running around, trying this and that for a little bit. Take some time to breathe and gather yourself. Even 10 seconds will do the trick. It helps to calm yourself before you can calm your baby.
- Ask for help
Don’t be afraid to ask others in the family to help you out. You’re not doing anything wrong by letting a trusted neighbor or friend baby-sit your child for a while.
Take care of yourself and make sure you are in a healthy mental and physical state to take care of your baby.
