Streetwalking Protocol

When you’re going for a walk with your significant other and your baby is in the stroller, do you ever think of the simple things that will keep your child from getting hurt on the street?

Here are some things to keep in mine while getting some fresh air with your newborn and/or toddlers…

  1. Make sure your child is safely strapped in the stroller. You never know, a bump on the sidewalk might make your child fly out of the stroller.
  2. If you’re walking with another person, have one of you push the stroller while the other is walking on the side that is closest to traffic.
  3. Even if it seems like it’s safe to cross the street, keep your eyes open for oblivious cars around you.
  4. Don’t even think about letting go of the stroller unless the brakes are on. Don’t underestimate how fast a stroller can roll away from you!

You might think the chances of something dangerous happening can be small, but it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

How do you keep your child safe while you’re strolling with them on the sidewalk?
