Parents are finding fun methods to help their kids learn math.
Why is it so easy to learn the lyrics to a new song but so hard to learn history or math facts, for example?
Because auditory learning is one trick for easier and faster memorization.
The next time your kids are learning math facts, have them sing the facts aloud. Replace the lyrics of one of their favorite songs and replace them with math facts.
They can get creative and say the math facts in different voices and tones.
Two other approaches you and your kids could take are:
1. Learning by movement
2. Visual learning
For movement, have your kids repeat the math facts while doing something that involves movement, like dancing or jumping on a trampoline.
For visual learning, use objects like blocks or candies to replace their fingers in counting (although they can certainly use their fingers to count, too!).
