Your child’s first words may have been “mama” or “dadda,” and as exciting as first words are, you wouldn’t want your child’s vocabulary to consist of JUST those words.
So teach your toddler the alphabet. Preschool doesn’t have to be the only place of learning. You can teach your toddler right at home.
Here a couple of ways you can help your toddler learn the alphabet without having to repeat all 26 letters yourself, over and over again…
1. Invest in a set of magnetic letters for the fridge
Scrambling the letters can help your toddler learn that the same letters can create different words.
2. Get a set of alphabet coloring pages for your toddler
This is an inexpensive way to keep your child busy if you need some time to catch up on other chores, and for kids, it doesn’t get any better than learning while having fun.
3. Read with your child
It’s important to recognize the letters, as well as know which words those letters form.
