The 4-Letter Word You Need To Learn From Your Little Ones

by Hong Kong Tran

Naps don't have to be just for your kids.

Naps. Remember those?

The life of a parent is one that busy, strenuous, and physically and emotionally draining. Sometimes it’s hard to find time for a quick nap, because there’s always something going on…

Whether you’re waking up in the middle of the night because your baby is crying, or you’re being a human taxi taking your kids to school or picking them up from school, working, making dinner, or cleaning…well, your day is full.

But napping is a powerful, relaxing tool that will energize you so that you can be refreshed and (less cranky) about all the stuff you have to do during the day.

It works for your kids, right?

So if napping has become somewhat of a novel experience for you, and you know you could use a little more rest, follow these 5 steps and you’ll be on your way to enjoying naps that are quick and refreshing…

  1. Close your eyes and relax. Lying down isn’t necessary – just clear your mind.
  2. Don’t get distracted no matter how much you want to be – set an alarm to let yourself know when ten minutes is up.
  3. Begin napping 10 minutes a day, 3 times a day. Soon you’ll be able to sleep for 20 minutes straight.

Check out the link below for the last 2 steps…

Are you a napper? How has that helped you become relaxed when it comes to taking care of your children? Got any tricks for first-time parent nappers out there?
