According to BabyCenter.com, the Associated Press reported that a Pennsylvania family and its teenager are filing a lawsuit against the boy’s school for “turning on the webcam in his computer while it was inside their Penn Valley home, which they allege violated wiretap laws and his right to privacy.”
Yikes! Talk about going too far–way too far.
As Beth Hering cleverly states in the blog, this isn’t much different from living in a doorless, curtainless house.
I think that is an invasion of privacy and that the schools should have put more thought a better way of tracking whether a computer is stolen.
