It can be extremely frustrating if your kids are in the backseat, screaming and kicking because they’re bored out of their minds.
Here’s a pretty neat and clever idea and doesn’t take long to prepare:
They call it the “Zip Lock Bag Travel Toy.”
What you’ll need:
- Ziplock bag
- Rice, wheat, or popping corn
- Mini toys (like small plastic dinosaurs or toy cars), buttons, and other kid-friendly household items)
- Duct tape (to reinforce the ziplock bag)
- Camera and printer to make a scavenger hunt list
How to prepare it:
- Take pictures of all the items that you plan to put in the bag, and print them.
- Place all the items into the bag.
- Fill the bag with rice, wheat, or popping corn.
- Close the bag, zip it shut, and seal it off with duct tape.
How to play:
Have your child refer to the pictures to find all the hidden items. The goal is to find all the items. Obviously, the longer the trip, the larger the bag, and the longer your kids will be entertained!
